(Red side of button will be showing) Step out, pop the button back in (red goes in) and close the door. The only customization settings (MY 2013-2014) are in the attached tables. You need the proprietary Subaru select monitor tool to change the settings. I don't see auto lock in drive as an option.

I tried this once on my 2014 Crosstrek. Do not recommend. I live in Michigan and it was the dead of winter. Started the car and then locked it with the manual lock. Walked away. Came back about ten minutes later and the fob would not unlock the door, and the manual key would not either. I assume the manual key is somehow electronic as well.
