We've lost way too many mutants and I'm sick of pointless and shock factor deaths. Honestly, I think Rosenberg’s run has gotten a bad rap. The deaths were a bit excessive and ill thought out in some cases, but I think he did a good job showing the X-men in their darkest hour before the Dawn of X.Firstly Bendis was pulled off of the X-Men suddenly. He clearly had longer term goals and aspirations but Marvel were trying to de-emphasise the X-Men and having one of their highest profile writers and most influential artist (Immonen) working on them was incompatible with that. The DoX books since were more hit or miss. I was loving Marauders and the Hickman half of New Mutants but books like X-Force or Fallen Angels did nothing for me. The main X-Men book, from what I read, was good but disjointed. Ultimately, it was an issue of X-Men that made me drop the whole line.
