If your build is int focused, you'll likely love this katana and it will decimate. I think its a mandatory weapon for Mages. I have it, used it for a little while, but I went back to strictly using my Carian Regal Staff. I'll probably be way more Moonveil'y in NG+. It’s actually trash bro better just sell it.

Uchigatana with similar stats will do way more damage, and 1 shot kill with unsheathe. If you can roll through the laser, it's pretty punishable. It also costs a good bit to keep firing off in pve. Moonveil is really fast to use and does great damage. The nerf hasn’t changed that in the slightest. I think most weapons are better than the DMGS. Dark moon is pure unusable vs a lot of bosses and it's not just because of the cast time for the special.

Your build was pretty close to my first build just dex and int changed and less vigor. And I tried so many builds to finally beat Melania and with your build, I beat her first try thank you was stuck there for days. Rivers of blood worked very well against her for me personally. Huh, nice.

Generally speaking anything that sucked waaay back when is better, and the things that were a lil too far on the power slider in the player's favor are toned down a bit. Moonveil was "nerfed", but it is still an unsheathe katana+.Yeah did the same thing but switched over to Moonveil+Meteoric Ore Blade. They're a blast for both PvE and PvE, simply way too fast to L1 the shit out anyone who stands in your way. You also still get to use the OP Moonveil sword art. The fang is too slow for my taste, especially for PvP.
