I flash and log with a laptop, leave the MPVI2 in the car, and edit files at my desktop PC. MPVI2 never gets plugged into the desktop. Files open just fine. I have a mpvi1 a 2+ and a 3 pro (still in the package) I have tried to do a read on three of them now a 16 1000 and two 17 1000's all say protocol failed with the 2+ interface which I find to be an absolute pile of shit anyways. All were stock, I have tried with a cheap adapter and hptuners adapter with same results, using 5.1.1997 I believe.
