The very fist instruction says to "Remove the fuse labelled HVAC CTRL (BATT)." I have located my fuse box behind the trim panel on the passenger side. The diagram on the inside of that panel looks like the one in the image below. That makes sense since the start relay can’t receive ground from the ECM or BCM if the communication circuit is down or the fuse is corroded.
