Extended tether distance for non-dedi games from 180 to 800". so the tether is better than it was, No need to give nitrado any money, easiest way to play with friends is with a privately hosted dedicated server. There are plenty of good community server's around if you or your friends can't host one. #1.

Just most people today wouldn't notice it because most people's PCs are more than able to handle ARK SE with Tether Distance set to say 99 without too many issues. At least in survival evolved you were able to change the tether length, only ever being teleported when host went into a cave. But now even if you change it, the distance will always be 180 meters.
