Put some light weight fork oil in after draining and then pump the fork 10 times to agitate then drain the oil.

I know I have the exact amount of fluid,, but when I measure the inches a fluid I am nowhere near the correct amount.Which is 125 mm or 4.9 in on the C model. Vinish. Virtually any brand of 10w fork oil will be fine. You don't need an expensive type. Cheap Wallyworld 10w fork oil is fine. Be aware that a special tool is needed to disassemble the left fork on an 1800. Also be aware that a special tool or a home-made tool is needed to drive in the fork seals on any VTX.
