It is a direct upgrade over the sgb in every way. It'll perform fine on revo especially if you can be bothered to activate the spec. Sgb spec is still worth using though as that is one of range's single strongest abilities. I'd use the bolg on revo with sgb spec in an eof if you want the most out of it without going to full manual.

Sunshine -> Conc -> Dbreath > Corrupt -> Tsunami -> Conc -> Staff Spec -> Limitless -> Smoke Tendrils -> Wild Magic -> ABS Spec -> Asphyx -> ABS Spec -> Random shit based on adren. When Spec is over I swap to DW/Exsnaguinate and do a rotation Conc -> Gstaff/other thresh -> Other Basic and repeat.

It's best to manually trigger these abilities or you'll fail the dps check. I use full revo but put my threshold near the end so they're not used, and I have the stun for melee guys outside of the revolution bar.
