Once you have it loosened, follow the normal VTM-4 fluid replacement procedure. Uncrew the fill plug (top one), then bottom drain plug, then the sensor itself. Use the backwards procedure to assemble everything in. Use fluid pump to put new fluid in, it takes almost a gallon.

The VTM-4 light would almost always come on after driving between 100 feet and a mile. Just adding here, what worked for me, finally. Scan showed 23-01 knock sensor fail (among other things) I changed the VTM-4 fluid, and replaced the VTM-4 oil temp sensor. No change.
