Cragheart build.
You can still build toward an obstacle-based Cragheart. For one thing, many/most scenarios already contain single-hex obstacles, which the Cragheart uses to power its abilities. For two, there are higher levels you can sacrifice that don't really help toward the obstacle build much. Levels 6 and 7 can be used to take early obstacle cards.

The top remains unused. The Cragheart is a damage dealer and any sort of stun or slow does not seem to fit well. A second thing to consider when looking at how the Cragheart is built, is to skip all the level 5 cards. Stone Pummel is more so for a mêlée focused build and there is a place for it, but not in my build.

The Cragheart makes a great character to play, it has a card hand of 11 and can calm a collateral damage scenario. However, it suffers at tanking and can’t compete well enough against a Tinkerer and Brute. I played a cragheart to level 9 and it pretty much went how you've imagined. Started out ranged, then became heavily obstacle focused, and ended up being a melee character. Creating obstacles for true damage and then pushing enemys into one with heaving swing, while destroying another adjacent for +3 made for some pretty high DPS.This guide is for Craghearts in a 2p party and you can expect the 4p party guide from me on Monday (I already have all the pictures taken but still have a ton of writing to do).There's also the super fun turn of Cragheart Clear the Way (lvl 3) into Demo Remote Detonation (lvl 4) to Attack 3 x2 the same clump of enemies. Since you definitely want to be running Cragheart as a melee buddy, hopefully you have access to item 80 Tremor Blade, which is a little mandatory for that build.Growth is a trap, move 4 and low initiative is what cragheart lacks. Personally, I prefer to create a ranged destruction squad with the SW's summon and Cragheart's Backup Ammunition, putting out 4 ranged attacks every round. The obstacle build isn't very effective until you hit lvl 4 and take Rock Slide. That card by itself makes any 'build' viable.
