The entire join request system is stupid. They had something good with mhw and threw it out the window. What are the chances 3 different people going to be looking to join some random HR Lagombi quest I posted? We should just have a list of all quests that have a join request sent out, and we can just choose which quest we want to join.

Haven't noticed with lobby but I managed to spot the same problem for me on Join Request feature. I create game, send request and none joins, after 20 or so quests I decided to go to discord and have people join a "dead" quest that I hosted. Even after 20 minutes none could Join my open to join in progress quest.

I send out a join request for every hub quest I do. I'm nearly at hub rank 3 and so far I have done it entirely solo because nobody ever joins my hunts. When I open my friends list in-game, the hunter names don't show up for friends who I know are currently playing. I cannot join their sessions when they invite me, when I try to join through the steam overlay, or when I search for their session ID. I can join other sessions and random quests just fine. They cannot join me when I create a session.
I am having this exact same issue. Friends can join your session, people can answer your SoS calls, but you cannot join any other session nor answer SoS quests and it immediatly tells you that you "Failed to join the session because it hase been deleted" and "Failed to Join Quest" for any posted quest.DON'T use these things when you are in a lobby. About this mod. Change the quest start/reset/failed logos etc to be the same as the JP/EN version of MHRise, compatible with Sunbreak. Previously I made this mod for MHW, and as requested I did it again for MHR, someone might find it useful. Now come with both JP and EN versions, install via Fluffy Manager 5000.
That's what's causing the bug in most cases atm. Having the same problem! Same problem. I was appearing offline and no one could join my posted hunt. I switched to appearing online and that fixed it.
