Power and reliablity are very good. 80-90 is no problem and will do it all day long. Power is measured at the wheel on the VTX, most bikes are measured at the crank hence the higher hp rating of others verse the 1300 VTX. maint. oil changes normal 600 then what ever you like after that depending on the oil you use.
