I should mentioned, the first time it happened, the van was sluggish, I turned it off and restarted it and it seemed better but not perfect. However, I didn't drive it last weekend and went to work Mon-Wed. with no problems.The flashing D light means an intermitent failure in the transmission. When this happens the light will flash until the engine is shut off. If it was intermitent the flashing doesn't come back the failure was intermitent. However this shouldn't lock the gearshift out of the forward gears.
