It it says you have 4 to grab outside of Galactic Zone then you probably have 4 more to retrieve. Considering there are 5 cores outside of the Galactic Zone and you claim to have grabbed 2 of them, it may be worth your while to be absolutely sure you indeed grabbed those 2 by revisiting those locations.
