Apparently OCCT is very shader heavy and destroys air cooled 4090s, for me the core temp goes to 72- 73, with hotspot shooting all the way up to 94. More than 20C above core temperature. Keep in mind this is with 450w power limit. That's usually when errors start to get reported.FYI, the shortest 4090 custom water-block cards are just over 200 mm long; those with a beefier VRM come in at about 235 mm or less. The former (ie. It may seem like higher power limit does something significant because it stabilizes clocks and allows for that stable 3000 MHz at all times, but if you then power limit the same overclock to 450W, it will only lose anywhere from 0.5% to 2% performance.
