56 buckshot rounds will destroy a section of wooden wall, guaranteed. Either you are glitched or the wall is. Make sure to concentrate your shots on top or bottom of the gate/wall. And stick to that bit. Enough bullets/shells will break it but make sure to have a gun cleaning kit as guns damage a lot quicker now.
