XP. 293. Country. Sep 8, 2021. #1. I am having an insane amount of trouble finding updates for my installed games, and figured I'd use Tinfoil shops to make updating/getting DLC a bit easier. But for some reason every shop I try will start the download, then just "freeze" a bit into it. The app doesn't freeze, but the download itself does.

open tinfoil, setup/create new source (make sure capital/smallcap for file path exactly the same) the user and pass is from step 2, not the admin user/pass! thats it. dont forget to choose NO for delete after install when you are installing game. you dont have to setup any shop at tinfoil, just basic tinfoil we just need its ftp install function.Honestly i sold my switch but its super easy, inside tinfoil you have a place to enter that shops address and you just exit and enter again and its installed. As for shops just google something like... updated tinfoil shops because some do get shut down but you honestly dont need more than 2-3 installed. Its like backup if the main shop doesn't ...
Download the self-installer and open the zip file. Extract that switch folder to the root of your SD card and it'll merge the switch folders (the tinfoil folder is inside of the switch folder).
