The Deluxe Reverb is excellent (Oxford Speaker with some really nice mic choices). It immediately works easily with the HX Deluxes. Quickly 'grab' an SM7 and 121 or 421 and 160 and get a great tone. You can also lower the pickup to the trim ring, raise the screw poles on one bobbin if it has them, to soften them up some. A traditional Gibson PAF is around 8k.
