I did UWorld Surgery and AMBOSS surgery and scored in honors range (>75% national average). After having done UWorld IM questions for IM, I can say those would be helpful for the surgery shelf as well. NBME Self-Assessments for USMLEs have ~200 questions each. The Shelf-specific assessments have only 50 questions. Even the Shelf exams themselves are shorter than the USMLEs.
