The wound getting infected is not your concern. You should eat food, being full improves the regen speed of your health. Generally it’s not worth it to take a bandage off, the healing rate of a dirty vs clean bandage is very similar. A wound being infected just causes a small damage over time effect, easily manageable by eating and sleeping.

If you do not want to restart, there is a mod that let you change the sandbox setting (assuming you play sandbox). Otherwise there is a few "cheat" mod, or simply add -debug to the game launch option (steam), and heal yourself. Typing sandbox or cheat in teh workshop research will let you find them easily.
