The combat, at least to a veteran player like myself, isn't terrible. It isn't the best system in the world, but I like it due to how all the systems interact. For me Kotor 1 is easily the superior game. It had the classic Star Wars feel (while still telling a new story in a completely different era), the characters were awesome and the twist at the end is one of the best in video game history.
