8603 posts · Joined 2011. #1 · May 10, 2021. So I had good luck with 2 Kimbers i have a 9mm and a 45 that work flawlessly. My 10 mm is beautiful , wont feed a single round. They say shoot them they will break in . I had to slide the rounds in one at a time by hand. You cannot put a mag in and let it slide forward .

I had a couple S&W pistols handed down to me from family 39-2 9mm and 422 22lr and have had a blast shooting them at the range but wanted something of my own choosing.May 18, 2008 · i had lots of problems ftf, fte, etc so after about 300 rds i returned it to kimber who put it through the custom shop and reworked the extractor. i also installed the proper wolff spring #32725 after getting the gun back from kimber. since getting the gun back, i have put through about 300 rds of sellier & bellot 230g fmj with no problems.
Feb 24, 2013 · Please do NOT attempt to shoot .40 S&W ammunition from any 10mm UNLESS you pull the bullets, resize the neck & reseat the bullets to provide longer COL. Keep in mind that the 10mm is a longer case and attempting to run .40's through a 10mm will result at BEST in a bent or broken firing pin due to head spacing issues.
In my limited experience I think of Kimber as the Bose of the 1911 world. Good stuff but overpriced for what it actually is because they advertise more. Not saying that there is anything wrong with their guns etc... But they have to pay for that advertising somehow. One of my best shooters is a Ruger SR1911.
