I push the talk button and say "testing" and then the back button, it goes green except the last bar in the voice/volume metre is red.If they do come on, then you may have a problem with the receiver for your key and it will have to be checked by connecting a scan tool to the system. Perhaps the "stiff" feeling sensation is because previous car most likely had a traditional vacuum brake booster and electric brake booster has a different feel @ startup.
